What: A self defense/harmony
class by a Black Belt Karate
professional, Peer Halperin, who
has a karate center in Clairemont Mesa and in Carmel Valley. (an Israeli/French
guy who's been working with me on a few Tarbuton classes.)
When: Thursday 9/18 at 7:00 pm.
Class
description: This class brings together elements from five disciplines -
meditation, stretching, self-defense, core exercise, and yoga. In training, the
mind, body, and spirit are inseparable; they harmonize with each other to create
a perfect workout to reduce stress, improve posture, breathing, agility, and
cardiovascular condition.
Where: Carmel Valley/Penasquitas ish location. Highway 56 at Camino Del Sur. 7835 Highlands
Village Place, Suite D-104, San Diego, CA 92129.
Cost: $15 each if we have 10 or more
participating. (A lot of you have said you'll come, so I'm not too
worried
about hitting the 10 person minimum for this price)
Bring Yoga Mat: Peer prefers we each
use a yoga mat. So, if you have one or can borrow one please do so. Otherwise,
you can purchase one from him that night for
$15
Dinner: Don't eat heavily before
hand. We'll eat after, and Peer commented its better not to take the class
after a heavy meal. There are a bunch of places to eat at this strip mall from
Luna Grill to Peets for Coffee.
